Now when I try to power on it takes me to a screen that says “an error has occurred while updating the device software. As far as what firmwares are supported by the rooting tutorial, you’ll have to check with the developer of the TOT files here for that – So long as you have that file, I recommend trying to flash it on the phone using this tutorial and that’ll at least let you know you are safe to try and root (as you’ll be able to get back to stock using that file). Please do not ask for help if you have flashed the wrong firmware, the only solution is to find the right firmware, which you will have to do by Googling. You CAN find your firmware on the web elsewhere but it will take some digging to make sure you find the EXACT firmware for your device.
